FIC: The Gap Between Us, Part 2/2
Fandom: The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings
Disclaimer: I own nothing!
Pairing: None, Thranduil and Legolas, father and son relationship exploration
Summary: As a scourge falls over Mirkwood, a young Legolas reflects on how he and Thranduil grew so far apart.
Excerpt: Even through the fog of illness, Legolas noticed that there were lines pulling at his father’s eyes, purple bruises of fatigue and worry underneath them. This outburst of temper alone revealed how frayed Thranduil’s nerves were for he would never lose his composure over so simple a question was he not pushed to the very end of his tether.
Here’s part two! I hope you guys like it. It turned out very… angsty-fluffy. I just can’t help myself, I guess. I LOVE this kind of stuff! :D I would really appreciate reblogs, since I’m very new to the fandom. Thanks guys!
I’m thinking I might dabble in the Hobbit fandom a little bit more. I have some more ideas for our favorite father-son duo, although I must admit I’m very green to the Tolkien world.
My favorite idea is a fic where Thranduil is turned human and how both he and Legolas deal with it. This idea needs a ton of work, but I like to tinker with it from time to time.
I’ve also got a couple of word and image ideas, a sequel to my “Thranduil is shot” illustration and then an exploration of the idea that Legolas does not know about the scarring to Thranduil’s face and how he finds out… *ugh* so many feeeeeels. Does this sound appealing to anyone?
